The last day in Sweden. Heading back to Luleå Station to catch the train back to Stockholm, where our plane back was waiting. On the way, we stopped in Gammelstad, the old church village of Luleå.

It’s a UNESCO cultural heritage site and in winter there is not a lot of people around. Same as old Piteå, the village consists of tiny houses where the people living on the farms in the surroundings spent their weekends to be on time for church service on sunday. Today, at least in winter there are mostly vacant.

As there was still some time left, we also went to Luleå and walked around the city and on the frozen baltic sea.
